Grêmio Porto Internacional, commonly referred to as Grêmio, is a Brazilian professional football club based in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The club was founded in 1903 and has a rich history, having won numerous domestic and international titles.
The team is known for its passionate fanbase and its rivalry with fellow Porto Alegre-based club Internacional. Grêmio plays its home matches at the Arena do Grêmio, which has a capacity of around 55,000 spectators.
Over the course of its history, Grêmio has won three Copa Libertadores titles (1983, 1995, and 2017), two Copa Sudamericana titles (1997 and 2021), and two FIFA Club World Cup titles (1983 and 2017). The team has also won four Brasileirão titles, five Copa do Brasil titles, and numerous state championships.
Grêmio has produced several world-class players throughout its history, including Ronaldinho, Anderson, Lucas Leiva, and Arthur. The club's current head coach is Tiago Nunes.
